WR037SA Tunable Main Shaft for AXIAL WRAITH

This WR037SA main shaft assembly is engineered for precision axle tuning on AXIAL WRAITH platforms, combining a 6061-T6 aluminum shaft body with hardened #45 steel universal swing shafts in a cross head configuration. The mixed-material layout reduces rotating mass while maintaining hardened contact surfaces where load and wear are concentrated.

The adjustable mechanism provides a 126mm to 135mm span for fine wheelbase calibration to suit specific crawling geometries. Hardened swing shafts protect pivot and cross head areas from accelerated wear, while the alloy body lowers rotational inertia to improve dynamic axle response during articulation.

Included hardware mirrors original small parts such as white silicone O-rings and mounting screws to secure the shaft into standard WRAITH housings. Professional assembly practice is recommended: verify axial alignment, confirm full suspension and steering clearance, and torque fasteners to thread specifications before operational use.

Compatible Models

  • AXIAL WRAITH 1/10 90018/20

Use the WR037SA when you require a precisely adjustable alloy shaft body with hardened swing components to tune wheelbase and improve articulated steering behaviour on AXIAL WRAITH crawlers.

Confirm your axle housing inner width and hub mounting offsets, and ensure the 126-135mm adjustable range aligns with your required wheelbase and suspension geometry.
Check cross head flats and pivot surfaces for pitting or play, measure for end float, and replace shafts showing deformation. Keep contact surfaces lightly lubricated to minimise abrasive wear.
Assemble swing shafts into the alloy body, hand-tighten mounting screws, then bench-cycle suspension and steering while checking for binding. Final torque should follow thread size recommendations and be applied incrementally.
Use light grease on cross head contact areas and install supplied O-rings for basic sealing. Avoid excessive grease that can attract grit; perform regular inspections after trail sessions.
