Precision aluminium front internal shocks - 135mm

Precision-machined aluminium front internal shocks supplied as a 2pcs set for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER platform. These components are intended as CNC-style suspension upgrades that improve structural stiffness and predictable damping while maintaining original mount geometry.

Engineering notes: bodies are produced from 6061-T6 aluminium to raise tensile strength and maintain sealing face alignment under load. The design uses a tightly sealed assembly to reduce oil migration, and units come pre-filled with a high-concentration suspension oil for consistent viscosity. The shock shaft has been increased from 3.5mm to 5mm to reduce deflection and improve rebound stability under dynamic loads. The result is a direct-replacement upgrade engineered for durability and repeatable performance.

Just received Avery well packed and vey shiny box of GPM parts... all look great... only one negative... and probably on my part... the discs and calipers come in sets of 4... not 4 discs or 4 calipers.. oh well another order to follow... great service th
Inspect sealing surfaces, shaft straightness, and oil condition. Replace seals showing wear and refresh oil when damping feel changes or after extensive running.
A thicker shaft reduces bending and torsional deflection compared with 3.5mm, which improves response consistency under high-load cornering and landings.
The tightly sealed design reduces service frequency; seals and internal components remain accessible for standard shock rebuilds and oil changes when required.
Start with stock springs, then iterate oil weight and spring rate to suit load conditions. Confirm compression and rebound tuning through measured test runs and small incremental adjustments.
