70mm front alloy damper technical notes

This front spring damper is an alloy-bodied aftermarket unit intended as a direct-fit hop-up for the Tamiya TT02B front suspension, preserving stock mounting geometry and spring interface while replacing the plastic body with a metal alternative.

The damper is supplied as a 1pr set and offers adjustable spring preload plus selectable mounting positions to alter steering response and dive characteristics. Installation follows standard TT02B procedures, reusing original shock towers and lower ball studs and requiring basic front suspension disassembly.

From a setup perspective, the damper allows precise adjustments to ride height, preload and damping feel when used with appropriate shock oils and springs matched to the vehicle's power and running surface. The alloy body will slightly affect front unsprung mass and should be considered when tuning balance and roll characteristics.
