Precision steering tie rod for TT01

This precision alloy steering tie rod is an aftermarket upgrade for the Tamiya TT01 chassis, delivered as model TT049. Machined alloy replaces the stock plastic linkage to provide predictable stiffness and repeatable alignment settings, and the assembly includes the mounting screws required for installation.

Use this component to restore worn steering connections or to increase linkage rigidity on 1/10 TT01 touring cars. The alloy construction improves wear resistance under frequent steering cycles while maintaining correct steering geometry for reliable handling characteristics.

Installation procedure: detach the original tie rod from the servo horn and steering knuckles, position the alloy rod in the factory mounting points, and secure with supplied fasteners. Verify correct thread engagement, confirm unrestricted steering throw, and perform measured adjustments to achieve the intended steering response without over-torquing.

For setup tuning, alter effective toe and trim via incremental length changes at the ball joints or rod ends. This allows fine control of turn-in and mid-corner balance while leaving upstream components unchanged.

The rod is produced to hobby-level machining tolerances to ensure consistent ball-end seating and repeatable thread engagement with standard TT01 steering hardware.
No adaptors are normally required for stock TT01 geometry; if non-standard knuckles are fitted, verify spacing and use thin shims only as needed to preserve alignment.
Inspect ball sockets for play, ensure fasteners remain correctly torqued after initial runs, and check for fretting or corrosion depending on environmental exposure.
