Precision front dogbone set for TRX4 CVDs

This four piece dogbone assembly is manufactured from hardened #45 steel and engineered to the stock TRAXXAS TRX4 Trail Crawler geometry to provide direct-fit replacements for front CVD applications. CNC-quality finishes and heat treated material selection aim to improve wear characteristics under typical crawler loads.

The dogbones transmit rotational torque from the CVD output into the axle shafts, providing the mechanical link between transfer case output and wheel hubs. The kit ships with two 11.8mm stainless steel retention pins for secure installation and long-term retention under duty cycles.

Critical dimensions are supplied for installation verification: long leg 71mm and short leg 45mm. These lengths should be checked against vehicle steering envelope and suspension travel to ensure no binding occurs during articulation.

Installation is a direct replacement process on TRX4 front CVD layouts that accept this geometry. Remove the original dogbones, align the new pieces and insert the supplied retention pins to complete the swap. No additional modifications are specified.

The dogbones are produced from #45 steel and receive a hardening treatment to increase surface strength for drivetrain service.
Measure the installed dogbone lengths against the listed 71mm and 45mm values and check clearance through full steering and suspension travel to validate compatibility.
Inspect retention pins and coupling wear periodically, replace pins if deformed, and monitor dogbone ends for rounding to maintain reliable drivetrain operation.
