Technical overview

These aluminium front and rear adjustable spring dampers have been hand assembled for Traxxas XO-1 applications and engineered to match XO-1 mounting geometry. The oil-filled design and adjustable preload let technicians and hobbyists tune damping curves and ride height for improved handling on track or during practice.

The damper bodies measure 87mm between the centre points of the upper and lower ball ends as supplied. The adjustable collar system permits fine preload changes while the serviceable oil chambers allow damper tuning via different silicone oil weights, improving adjustability without replacing the entire assembly.

The kit includes the specified installation hardware and is intended as an aftermarket upgrade to replace standard plastic shocks in XO-1 scale configurations.

How are these dampers adjusted for preload?

Preload is adjusted via the threaded aluminium collars which compress the spring; small increments change ride height and initial spring rate.

Can I swap oil weights to alter damping?

Yes, the serviceable oil chambers allow different silicone oil viscosities to be used to tune compression and rebound characteristics.

What maintenance should be performed?

Inspect seals, refresh oil, and check mounting hardware regularly; aluminium bodies resist wear but seals and shafts should be checked after hard use.

Do these require any modification to fit?

No chassis modification is required; they are manufactured to match XO-1 shock mount dimensions and include the necessary hardware for fitment.
