These 6061 T6 aluminium rear knuckle arms are CNC finished and paired with POM collars to provide a precise bearing location for X-MAXX style rear CVDs. The upgrade reduces lateral clearance at the knuckle to stabilise steering geometry and improve longevity under repeated loading.
The aluminium body gives structural stiffness while the POM collars are specified to maintain bearing seating without inducing catastrophic bearing compression. This balance preserves rotational freedom while clamping radial position accurately.
Installation follows a direct-replacement procedure for the compatible models and retains serviceability for routine maintenance. Verify bearing width and outer diameter before pressing bearings into the collars.
Note: this conversion requires 20x27x4 bearings; confirm bearing spec prior to assembly.
Recommended where tighter bearing location and reduced knuckle play are required on TRAXXAS X-MAXX 1/5 4WD platforms, and ensure installation uses the specified 20x27x4 bearings.
