Precision 7mm dog bone upgrade for X-MAXX drivetrains

The TXM1160S dog bone set is an engineered aftermarket replacement for TRAXXAS X-MAXX 1/5 scale models, manufactured with CNC-focused processes in #45 steel to increase sectional strength at the driven end. Each dog bone uses a 7mm driven diameter and a 160mm midpoint distance to improve load distribution through the transmission path.

Designed for direct-fit service, these components retain the stock mounting geometry while enhancing joint cross-section to resist bending under common RC loads. Intended strictly for model-scale drivetrain applications.

Packing includes

  • Iron callor - 2pcs
  • 3x20 Steel pin - 2pcs

Compatible Models

  • TRAXXAS-1/5 X-MAXX 6S MONSTER TRUCK-77076-4
  • TRAXXAS-1/5 X-MAXX 8S MONSTER TRUCK-77086-4

Inspect pin seating, verify collar positioning and confirm smooth joint rotation after installation; perform a controlled low-speed check prior to full power deployment.

Measure pin play and axial clearance, verify collar seating on the shaft, and ensure the dog bone pivots freely without perceptible binding under manual rotation.
They are compatible with standard X-MAXX geometries and will work alongside upgraded cups provided the midpoint spacing and pin dimensions remain the same; check interface clearances during fitment.
Inspect the dog bones and pins after aggressive runs or every few sessions, looking for wear, bending or loosening, and replace hardware if any degradation is found.
