Front sway bar technical overview

The 12-piece front sway bar kit is engineered for the TRAXXAS UNLIMITED DESERT RACER platform and replaces OEM components with stainless steel and aluminium pieces to modify front roll stiffness and tie-rod geometry. The assembly upgrades the stock front sway bar and arms to a thicker stainless steel section paired with aluminium sway bar arms that present two tie-rod mounting positions for precise leverage adjustment.

Installation requires removal of the factory front sway bar items, correct seating of the stainless steel sway bar into the original mounts, and the use of the supplied 3.5mm reamer where factory holes are undersize. All securing hardware is supplied to retain the arms and linkages; selecting inner or outer tie-rod holes changes the arm angle and effective roll lever arm.

From an engineering perspective, the kit increases the torsional stiffness of the sway assembly and provides two discrete leverage ratios through dual arm positions, enabling measurable changes in roll gradient and transient response for track tuning.

Use the dual-arm positions to quantify changes in roll stiffness during test sessions and document which hole correlates with preferred handling; always verify hole alignment and fastener torque after the initial runs.
