7075-T6 Alloy Shock Cap Upgrade

These aftermarket shock caps are intended for TRAXXAS Unlimited Desert Racer platforms and are built for durability and service convenience. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, they replace the factory top caps and are compatible with stock shock bodies and GPM aftermarket shock parts.

Design highlights include integrated bladders to bolster sealing and service life, a bleeder hole for simpler pressure relief and maintenance, and a pivot ball interface to preserve smooth suspension articulation at the damper crown. The set is supplied as a direct replacement using existing mounting points.

Installation procedure: remove the shock from its mount to access the top cap, contain or drain oil prior to opening, swap the factory cap for the alloy cap and install the supplied bladder, then reassemble and inspect for leaks at the bleeder. Basic experience with shock servicing helps ensure correct seal orientation and oil level.

Tuning note: these caps do not alter internal valving but can improve sealing consistency and slightly affect articulation at the top of travel, making damping feel more consistent under repeated use. They are best used as a durability and maintenance upgrade rather than a valving change.
