Hardened single-piece bevel gear for Slash 4x4 applications

This aftermarket single-piece hardened steel bevel gear is supplied as model STRV1202/G1 for TRAXXAS Slash 4x4 compatible drivetrains. The component is intended as a direct-service replacement to restore correct bevel geometry in 1/10 scale gearboxes.

Fitment is limited to gearboxes that share the same internal bevel dimensions. The original compatibility list includes Revo and Slash 4x4; verify the chassis bevel layout prior to installation. Supplied quantity: 1pcs.

Service notes: gearbox disassembly is required to access the bevel gear. Inspect bearing axial play and radial runout, verify spur and pinion alignment, and set mesh clearance to manufacturer guidelines to reduce load concentration on individual teeth.

Engineering intent: the hardened steel construction reduces tooth flank deformation under elevated torque, improving long term mesh consistency when using higher output motors or in worn drivetrain conditions.

Compatible Models

  • Revo
  • Slash 4x4
Measure the existing bevel geometry and tooth profile; match these to the replacement STRV1202/G1 dimensions and inspect seating on the gearbox output shaft before purchasing.
Check bearing radial play, inspect gear teeth for pitting or wear, verify spur/pinion engagement, and set backlash to recommended clearance to avoid premature fatigue.
After fitting, re-check mesh under load and perform a short run-in with moderate power to confirm stable engagement; re-torque gearbox fasteners and re-inspect bearings.
