Engineered for TRAXXAS MAXX steering systems, this upgrade pairs a CNC-friendly 25T servo horn made from 6061-T6 aluminium with a stainless steel adjustable tie rod to provide a stiff, tuneable connection between the servo and steering linkage. Intended for model-scale tuning and alignment tasks only.
Adjustment workflow is deliberate: reposition the servo horn on alternate mount holes to modify lever arm and steering throw, then use the left/right threaded tie rod to make micron-level length changes. The tie rod's locating hole allows use of an indexing tool for repeatable setup without disassembly.
Materials and fittings are chosen for workshop reliability: the 6061-T6 horn balances tensile strength and mass for responsive servo control, and the stainless tie rod lowers elastic deflection and prevents corrosion over repeated use. Supplied stainless fasteners are sized to suit standard servo splines and chassis mounting points.
