Precision Motor Pinion for TRAXXAS MAXX

This aftermarket 24T motor gear is supplied as a 2 pcs set intended as a direct replacement for the TRAXXAS MAXX platform. The component is CNC finished in hardened steel #45 to provide enhanced wear resistance at the motor pinion contact surface.

Functionally the part transfers rotational torque from the motor to the drivetrain and secures to the motor shaft with a 4x4 set screw. It is suitable for replacing worn 24T pinions to restore correct gear mesh and consistent engagement with the spur or gearbox input under load.

Installation procedure: remove the original pinion, mount the 24T gear onto the motor shaft, align the gear teeth to achieve optimal mesh, and torque the 4x4 set screw to secure the assembly. Confirm gear mesh under running conditions and make incremental pinion height adjustments where necessary to avoid accelerated wear.

This item is compatible with

  • TRAXXAS-1/10 MAXX MONSTER TRUCK-89076-4
Inspect tooth contact pattern under light load, verify there is no binding, and recheck set screw torque after a short running period to ensure secure retention.
The hardened #45 material provides improved wear resistance for higher torque applications, but ensure motor shaft size and gearbox compatibility before heavy use.
Regularly check for tooth wear and debris after aggressive runs; clean gears and verify mesh every few sessions to maintain optimal performance.
