Precision battery hold-down engineered for HOSS 4X4 VXL

This aftermarket battery hold-down kit replaces the factory retaining hardware to provide a stiffer, more stable retention system for TRAXXAS HOSS 4X4 VXL models. Machined from aluminium 6061 T6, the main plate and stabilizer are designed to reduce pack movement under dynamic load and to improve passive heat conduction away from the battery cells.

The kit comprises a primary hold-down plate and a stabilizer that sit above the battery, plus a stainless steel M3 top threaded screw for secure assembly. The aluminium plate uses a patterned contact surface to increase airflow exposure and thermal contact, while the stabilizer reduces lateral displacement during hard landings and cornering events. This component is a mechanical retention and thermal aid, not an electrical or chassis modification.

Installation follows standard upgrade procedures: remove the factory strap or clip, position the machined hold-down over the battery, align with the existing mounting point, and secure with the supplied M3 top screw. Use common hex drivers and verify thread engagement and proper torque to avoid damaging chassis threads.
