Precision aluminium centre gearbox for E-REVO VXL

The ER2038 centre gearbox set is a CNC-friendly aluminium upgrade for TRAXXAS E-REVO VXL chassis, supplied as a complete 16pcs kit to enhance centre carrier rigidity and limit drivetrain compliance. Manufactured from 6061 T6 aluminium, the components are engineered to provide a stiff, low-mass mounting that helps maintain accurate gear mesh under high torque.

Installation replaces the OEM plastic carrier using the included stainless fasteners and locates on stock chassis mounting points without requiring motor or electronics relocation. Recommended practice is to use calibrated torque settings for all fasteners and to verify spur and pinion alignment after assembly.

From a performance perspective the ER2038 reduces centre-end shaft movement and preserves gear engagement during aggressive throttle or rough terrain operation, supporting more consistent steering feedback and drivetrain behaviour. The kit is available in multiple anodised finishes including blue, red, grey silver/gun metal, orange, green, black, and brown for visual and corrosion resistance preferences.
