Recommended installation procedure for experienced hobbyists: remove the factory spur assembly, secure the aluminium adapter to the gearbox or carrier ensuring correct seating, fit the 60T spur and 14T pinion, then establish optimal backlash via motor height adjustment or precise shimming. Use appropriate threadlocker on steel fastenings where they mate with aluminium and verify bearing axial and radial clearance prior to initial operation.
