This aftermarket assembly replaces the stock spur interface on TRAXXAS CRANIAC Monster Truck drivetrains with a CNC style aluminium spur adapter coupled to a hardened 58T steel spur and 13T steel pinion supplied as a matched set. Designed for 1:10 scale RC drivetrains, the components are made to interface with the original gearbox and motor pinion without reworking the chassis layout.

Fitting requires standard drivetrain disassembly: remove the existing spur assembly, orient the aluminium adapter correctly on the spur shaft, secure the 58T spur to the adapter and fasten the 13T pinion to the motor shaft while checking gear mesh. Final mesh should be set with thin shims or via motor mount adjustment to eliminate binding and reduce flank stress.

Functionally this kit provides a rigid mounting surface to minimise deflection under load and a pair of hardened steel gears for improved wear life relative to softer stock materials. Note that modifications to tooth counts change overall gear ratio, so conduct brief validation runs and monitor gearbox bearing and gear temperatures after installation.
