The TXMSP28 spring set is engineered as a direct replacement for TRAXXAS 1/8 X-Maxx platforms. It supplies 2.8mm wire-diameter coil springs sized to work with standard dampers or compatible optional shock units, enabling quick evaluation of increased spring rates without shock body modification.

Standard service procedures apply for installation: remove the shock cap and spring retainer, fit the new spring, then reseal the shock. Routine hex tools and shock service implements are sufficient. The set is intended for on-vehicle swaps so tuners can compare dynamic responses across multiple setups.

From an engineering viewpoint, the increased 2.8mm wire diameter raises the spring constant relative to softer coils, shifting static ride height and altering the interaction between spring force and damper damping. Achieve target behaviour by pairing the springs with suitable shock oil, preload settings, and revised mounting geometry.
