Technical front CVD solution for Slash 4x4

This aftermarket front CVD drive shaft is engineered for TRAXXAS 1/10 Slash 4x4 scale applications. The layout uses steel for load-bearing areas with aluminium where reduced rotating mass is beneficial, and the component is intended solely for RC model driveline use. It interfaces with common Slash 4x4 front axle assemblies while avoiding any suggestion of use on full-size vehicles.

The CVD head and wheel hex retention have been revised to improve hub engagement, and an adjustable-length feature allows fine tuning of driveline geometry. These engineering choices result in a direct-fit upgrade that supports more demanding driving and setup changes without excessive additional work.

Fitment guidance: designed to replace stock front driveline components by locating on existing crosspins and hubs. Check pin engagement, set hex clamping correctly, and verify axle alignment during installation. Use appropriate tools and torque values, and validate fit with a short test run.

Inspect the CV joints for play, verify hex retention, and lubricate moving interfaces periodically depending on use conditions.
Mount hubs and suspension links, then set the adjustable section so the joint operates without binding through full steering and suspension travel.
Use hub and wheel hardware torque consistent with your hub manufacturer's guidance and recheck after initial runs to ensure retention.
