Precision alloy heat sink for Tracktor gearboxes

This two-piece aluminium heat sink plate set is designed to mount to the gearbox housing of Tamiya Tracktor models and provides an increased finned surface to enhance passive thermal dispersion. The plates are supplied as 2pcs to suit typical scale truck gearbox layouts.

Intended as an aftermarket thermal upgrade, the plates mount to the original gearbox fixings and should be used in parallel with routine internal maintenance such as gear mesh checks and bearing inspections. The aluminium alloy construction balances heat conduction and low added mass for realistic scale applications.

Operational benefit: adding the finned plates helps keep gearbox temperatures more consistent during prolonged operation, which can mitigate temperature-related performance drift in electric drive systems. The solution is passive and requires no electronic integration or wiring changes.

Compatible Models

  • Scania R620

Use TRU018SC when a compact, bolt-on aluminium option is required to improve gearbox heat dispersion on a Tamiya Tracktor Scania R620 while maintaining conventional maintenance procedures.

Brilliant service and great quality of work and quick shipping
TRU018SC uses the existing gearbox fixing holes on the Scania R620 Tracktor so installers should expect direct bolt-on fitment without housing modification.
The alloy finish is suitable for scale use; optional protective coatings can be applied at the owner's discretion but thick coatings that clog fin gaps are not recommended.
Verify fastener torque and re-evaluate gear mesh and bearing clearances after initial installation and again after the first few runs to confirm stable alignment.
They are designed for standard gearbox housings; when used with heavily modified drivetrains, confirm clearances and mounting compatibility before final installation.
