Precision aluminium damper housings for WR-02

This aluminium front and rear adjustable damper set replaces the stock housings on the Tamiya Wild Willy 2 WR-02 with machined aluminium bodies while retaining a plastic ball top for ball-stud mounting. The bodies are intended to provide a stiffer mounting interface and improved repeatability compared with original plastic housings.

Delivered as a 1 pr set for RC suspension tuning, these dampers are suitable for applications where consistent spring preload and ride-height settings are required. They serve as direct replacements and accept standard WR-02 shock towers, caps, and ball-stud hardware.

Installation requires standard hobby tools and basic WR-02 service experience: remove original shock housings, transfer springs and internal components as needed, and secure the aluminium bodies using existing mounting hardware and ball studs. This upgrade does not affect electronic or drivetrain systems and is focused solely on suspension improvement.

Specifications

  • Item Aluminium front/rear adjustable damper, 1 pr set
  • Material Aluminium bodies with plastic ball top
  • Model Number WW2060F/RPBT
  • Compatibility Tamiya Wild Willy 2 WR-02

Engineered to deliver durable aluminium housings and precise suspension setup for the WR-02 platform, supporting repeatable tuning and reliable mounting.

WW2060F/RPBT is specified for the Tamiya Wild Willy 2 WR-02 and is designed to interface with the factory shock towers, caps, and ball-stud hardware without modification.
Transfer stock springs, pistons, and seals or use compatible tuning internals to achieve the desired damping characteristics; the aluminium bodies do not alter internal dimensions for standard components.
Inspect mounting screws and ball-top condition after running and ensure threads remain clean. Aluminium bodies improve durability but should be checked regularly for wear and secure fitment.
Use standard hex drivers and pliers to swap housings. Confirm preload settings after installation and verify that the ball-top seating is correct to avoid binding.
