This machined aluminium hi-torque servo saver is an aftermarket steering component developed for the WR-02 chassis and supplied as a single set under model WW2025STM. The assembly combines a machined aluminium housing with a hardened steel tie rod to replace the OEM saver and reduce flex in the steering linkage.
Functionally the unit decouples impact loads from the servo while preserving mechanical centring, acting as a sacrificial interface that reduces stress on the servo gear train. The 25T marking identifies the spline interface used by the part, and the steel tie rod provides a direct, adjustable connection to the steering bellcrank for alignment tuning.
Installation follows standard WR-02 procedures: remove the original saver, mount the aluminium body onto the 25T spline, secure the assembly and refit the tie rod. After fitting, validate spline engagement and steering centring, and set tie rod length to achieve accurate toe and steering throw.
Tuning guidance: the reduced compliance of the aluminium body and steel tie rod improves steering precision but increases feedback to the servo. Adjust steering trim, endpoint limits and verify there is no binding throughout the full range of motion.
