Aluminium hi-torque servo saver designed for TAMIYA M1025

This 23T aluminium hi-torque servo saver fitted with a steel tie rod is an aftermarket steering component for the TAMIYA M1025 Hummer platform. It replaces the stock assembly to give a more rigid, wear-resistant interface between the servo output and the steering linkage while retaining controlled shock absorption to protect the servo geartrain.

The unit transfers steering input while helping to isolate high-impact loads. The aluminium construction reduces flex compared with common plastics, and the steel tie rod maintains predictable linkage geometry under load. That makes it useful when fitting higher-torque servos or when a firmer steering feel is desired without transmitting every shock to the servo.

Installation is straightforward on a prepared TAMIYA M1025 steering assembly using the existing mounting points and hardware. Check spline engagement and centre the steering before final tightening. During setup, verify end points and adjust any saver bias to balance protection and steering precision, then bench-test to confirm smooth travel and no binding.
