23T aluminium servo saver for GF-01 chassis

This aftermarket 23T aluminium servo saver is intended for the Tamiya GF-01 chassis and replaces the factory plastic saver with a rigid metal alternative while retaining the 23-tooth spline interface for compatible servos. The design focuses on precision fitment and reduced compliance between the servo and steering linkages.

Installation follows standard saverswap procedures: remove the stock assembly, mount the 23T spline onto the servo output and secure the servo horn to the saver. The accompanying aluminium tie rod connects to the steering knuckles; adjust length to match factory geometry and ensure smooth steering articulation through full travel.

From an engineering viewpoint the aluminium construction offers improved stiffness and repeatable steering feedback, making it suitable for tuners seeking reduced steering deflection. Note that the increased rigidity changes impact transfer characteristics compared with plastic parts, so verify servo spline compatibility and evaluate on a controlled test run.

The saver uses a 23-tooth spline interface to match GF-01 compatible servos. Confirm your servo's spline count before fitting.
Aluminium reduces mechanical compliance, improving repeatability and steering feel but reducing inherent shock absorption compared with plastic, so assess impact on durability and servo loading.
After fitting, set neutral steering, check tie rod length and clearances, and run a short test to ensure no binding or unexpected loading on the servo output.
