Technical Details for DT-03 Rear Dogbone

This rear dogbone is a machined 6061-T6 aluminium replacement designed to connect the CVD output to the wheel hub on TAMIYA DT-03 rear drivetrains. It addresses the known failure mode of factory plastic posts by providing a stiffer torque transfer point with greater resistance to bend and breakage.

Produced from solid 6061-T6 aluminium and polished, the upgrade is made thicker than the original moulded posts to improve structural rigidity. The shaft diameter measures 10mm, which is 1mm larger than the stock plastic parts, and the item is supplied as a 2 pcs set to replace both rear posts simultaneously.

Installation is a direct replacement for the DT-03 rear assembly; confirm axial alignment and rotational clearance during trial assembly to avoid binding. The thicker aluminium post reduces rear link flex and enhances drivetrain consistency during high throttle or heavier payloads. Multiple finish options are available from the manufacturer for visual matching.
