This machined aluminium dog bone is specified as a 58mm drivetrain replacement for the TAMIYA DT-03 chassis and is supplied as a 1pr set intended for 1/10-scale RC vehicles. It replaces stock plastic dog bones with a machined metal alternative while remaining intended only for model use.
Standard fitment procedure applies: remove wheel hubs and driveshaft retainers, extract the original dog bone, fit the 58mm aluminium dog bone into the outdrive cups and hub bores, then reassemble and verify axial clearance. The component is sized to DT-03 coupling geometry, so confirm retention clip seating and orientation during assembly.
As an upgrade, the aluminium dog bone provides a stiffer drivetrain link and different wear characteristics compared with polymer parts. Regular inspection of joint ends and light lubrication at contact interfaces is recommended as part of preventative maintenance.
