Precision rear CVD shafts for Tamiya chassis

Engineered as a direct rear replacement for Tamiya DT02, DT03 and TT02B platforms, these rear constant velocity shafts use alloy steel #45 for the driven half-shafts and are supplied as a single pair to replace worn rear driveline components.

The component targets the listed chassis and is NOT compatible with Tamiya 58374. It is intended for hobbyist upgrade and maintenance to recover drivetrain geometry, reduce play at the rear differential output, and provide a durable steel alternative to worn plastic assemblies.

Installation follows established rear CVD procedures: remove rear hubs and driveline assemblies to access shaft ends, verify set-screw and hex seating, and confirm axle alignment through full suspension droop to eliminate binding. Apply minimal thread-lock on steel-to-steel fasteners and verify seating torque during final assembly.

Compatible Models

  • Tamiya DT02
  • Tamiya DT03
  • Tamiya TT02B

Ensure shafts are matched to the chassis code for correct spline count and length; inspect bearings and hub hardware when replacing shafts to maintain reliable drivetrain performance.

I bought several parts off you guys for a few different Tamiya chassis. Love the quality of your products. Can I ask why you do not have any parts for the Tamiya CR-01 chassis?

Thank you very much, all arrived safely. Thank you very much for this first transaction from Japan to my beautiful France. Good luck and thank you again from the bottom of my heart. See you next time and good luck in the land of the rising sun. ++++
One pair of rear CVD shafts manufactured from alloy steel #45, intended to replace the original rear driveline components on compatible Tamiya chassis.
No machining is normally required; verify set-screw seating and check spline engagement. Minor set-screw trimming is occasionally used to ensure clearance in specific hub assemblies.
Alloy steel #45 offers improved wear resistance and dimensional stability over softer materials, helping maintain rear output alignment and reducing drivetrain play.
Use correct seating torque for set-screws, minimal thread-lock for steel fasteners, and inspect adjacent bearings and hubs to ensure long-term reliability.
