Precision 25T servo saver and aluminium tie rod for CW-01

This precision aluminium hi-torque servo saver and matched aluminium tie rod are supplied as a single upgrade set for the Tamiya CW-01 (Lunch Box) platform. Replacing the stock plastic saver reduces elastic deformation under load and improves the directness of steering input, while the rigid aluminium tie rod ensures a consistent mechanical link from servo output to steering knuckles.

The saver features a 25T spline interface compatible with common 25-tooth hobby servos. The aluminium construction prioritises dimensional stability and repeatable feedback. Confirm spline engagement and horn clearance relative to your CW-01 servo before final assembly to ensure correct mechanical alignment.

Installation procedure: remove the OEM servo saver, align the 25T spline to the servo output shaft, secure the servo horn per your usual hardware, then install the aluminium tie rod and perform a full steering sweep to check for binding. Maintain minimal free-play as required by your steering geometry to prevent shock loads from being transmitted directly to the servo.

Tuning guidance: the upgrade increases steering precision and responsiveness; if binding or unwanted feedback occurs, inspect horn orientation and link lengths and apply small transmitter trims to restore neutral centering.
