This upgrade replaces the original front servo horn and steering links on Tamiya CC02 MERCEDES-BENZ G500 chassis with a serviceable metal assembly engineered for improved repeatability and reduced play. Brass and aluminium mounting components combine with stainless-steel threaded link hardware to provide a firmer interface while resisting corrosion in typical hobby environments.
Link length is set mechanically via opposing threads on the adjustable link for controlled tie-rod tuning; final positioning is achieved through the tie-rod locating hole. The servo horn integrates a spring damping feature to mitigate impulse loads and limit shock transmission to the servo geartrain.
Materials selection targets longevity under normal RC operation: stainless steel for threaded and load-bearing elements, brass/aluminium for a stable mounting plane compatible with CC02 steering geometry.
These parts are intended for direct replacement of the front steering link and servo horn, maintaining factory mounting points while enabling precise adjustment and stronger fastenings for routine setup and minor impact mitigation.
