The BBX333 is a precision-formed stainless steel integrated skid plate developed for the TAMIYA BBX BB-01 chassis. The continuous front, centre and rear plate increases structural integrity and delivers a consistent wear surface between the chassis and terrain debris while maintaining original mount geometry.
Manufactured using an integrated moulding approach, the 1mm high-strength stainless steel plate is specified to reduce localised stress by spreading impact loads across the plate instead of at discrete fastener locations. This reduces the incidence of chassis cracking under repeated impact conditions while offering long-term corrosion resistance.
Installation is performed with the supplied Grade 12.9 black flat head screws at the designated front, centre and rear mounting points. Correct seating and full thread engagement are essential to ensure an even load path and to avoid introducing undesired stress concentrations in the chassis fasteners. As an aftermarket reinforcement, the plate serves both protective and tuning roles by stiffening the chassis footprint and providing a reliable low-clearance contact plane.
For performance-focused BB-01 builds that require reliable underside protection, the BBX333 offers measured reinforcement and a corrosion-resistant wear face while preserving chassis geometry.
