92mm CNC-friendly L-shape aluminium shocks for SCX10 II tuning

This pair of aluminium L-shape shocks is produced as an aftermarket replacement for AXIAL Racing SCX10 II scale crawlers, specified at 92mm length for front or rear L-type mounting. It is an RC-scale suspension component intended to match the SCX10 II mounting geometry without implying any real-vehicle application.

The L-shape geometry repositions the shock eye relative to straight-body units to clear specific chassis and body brackets on precision SCX10 II builds. During assembly verify the correct front or rear orientation and install the supplied hardware to secure the shocks to shock towers and lower mounts. Use measured torque values to prevent thread damage in plastic mounts.

Engineering note: aluminium bodies provide a rigid housing that supports a variety of spring rates, piston types and shock oils while improving thermal transfer versus plastic bodies. Final damping performance is tuned via piston selection, oil viscosity, spring preload and spring rate changes to match scale trail or technical rock crawling demands.

Included hardware and parts are supplied for direct replacement: Aluminium collars 3x6x1 - 2pcs, 3x6x2 - 2pcs, 3x6x3 - 2pcs, stainless steel button head screws 3x16 - 2pcs, 3x20 - 2pcs.

Yes, the internal dimensions are intended to work with standard SCX10 II shock pistons and shafts, allowing straightforward transfer of preferred internals.
Included aluminium collars and stainless screws follow common RC metric dimensions listed in the parts section to match SCX10 II mounting hardware.
Adjust piston type, oil viscosity, spring rate and preload to refine compression and rebound characteristics; the aluminium body gives consistent mounting during repeated testing.
Aluminium transfers heat away from the oil and piston more effectively than plastic, which helps maintain consistent damping during extended crawling sessions.
