Technical 57T Steel Spur for SCX10 II Drivetrain Upgrades

This single 57-tooth steel spur is provided as a one-piece replacement for AXIAL Racing SCX10 II platforms. Machined to Steel#45 specification, the part delivers greater elastic recovery and improved wear resistance versus typical polymer spurs while maintaining scale drivetrain characteristics and limiting deformation under torque.

Fitment advice: install the 57T on the stock spur mount and set pinion engagement carefully, verify backlash and confirm the gearbox retains the correct lash to avoid premature wear. Apply thread locker to the supplied lock nut if required and validate torque after break-in cycles.

Performance role: using a hardened steel spur stabilises mesh under higher torque and during low-ratio crawling setups, providing a consistent platform for further motor and gearbox tuning without introducing unpredictable flex.

The product includes small hardware items provided with the gear: 15X33X1 fibre washers - 2pcs, 5.4X8.2X11.1X1.5 black springs - 2pcs, 4MM stainless steel lock nut - 1pcs.

Engineered as a durable aftermarket spur for tuned SCX10 II drivetrains, this 57T steel gear is supplied with minimal mounting hardware to support installation and testing.

Steel#45 offers a balance of toughness and elastic recovery suitable for resisting deformation under torque, improving mesh retention compared with plastic spurs.
Set a nominal backlash, rotate the drivetrain by hand to check for smooth engagement, then test under low throttle increments and re-inspect for hot spots or binding.
Routine inspection of mesh and fastener torque after initial runs is recommended; no special lubrication is typically needed beyond standard hobby practice.
