Rear hub hex engineering notes

Part MX007 is a machined 7075-T6 aluminium rear hub hex designed for LOSI PROMOTO-MX rear wheel assemblies. The component is fabricated to preserve bore concentricity and reduce deformation under torque, providing a stable mounting surface for the rear wheel and bearings.

The hub accepts larger inner bearings and uses a bearing positioning column to maintain axial location and seat alignment during assembly. The included bearings correspond to the common RC sizes listed below, and the hub interfaces with the Promoto-MX rear wheel and mainshaft when the drivetrain conforms to the compatible model specifications.

For workshop practice, press bearings using a support that bears on the outer race and verify final runout with a dial indicator if precise alignment is required. Confirm axle hex dimensions and use OEM-spec fasteners or matched replacements to avoid stress concentrations in the aluminium hub.
