Precision alloy servo mounting solution

This RC-grade alloy servo mount is engineered for Kyosho Mini Inferno ST and Mini Inferno chassis and is supplied as a 1pc set, model MIF024H. It is manufactured in aluminium alloy and intended for Hitec-compatible servos, shipped with the mounting screws and shims necessary to achieve accurate servo height and centring.

Functionally, the component replaces the stock plastic bracket to provide a stiffer mounting datum that improves repeatability during setup and while tuning steering geometry. The supplied shims allow incremental adjustments to servo elevation so the servo horn aligns cleanly with the steering linkage without needing custom spacers.

Installation procedure: remove the original mount from the chassis, position the alloy mount in the standard location and secure using the supplied fasteners. Confirm correct screw alignment and shim selection before final torque to prevent binding or distortion of the servo output spline. Verify servo spline type and overall footprint compatibility prior to full installation.

Technical guidance: use the shims to set the neutral spline position and to avoid preload on the output spline. This approach reduces mount flex and gives more consistent steering trims and endpoint behaviour under load. Intended for model RC applications only.

Measure the servo case width and spline pattern, check hole centres on the chassis boss and confirm clearance around the servo to ensure the aluminium mount seats without interference.
Start with minimal shim thickness and incrementally add until the horn sits parallel to the steering linkage; avoid over-shimming which can move the servo away from optimal support points.
Torque should be applied to seat the mount without deforming the aluminium or compressing the chassis; follow normal hobby practice and avoid excessive force on the screws.
