Alloy oval washer for gearbox applications

Two aluminium oval washers are supplied for RC Kyosho motorcycle gearbox assemblies, sold as a pair. The oval profile provides a locating shim where keyed or offset holes require a non-circular washer to control shaft orientation and clearance.

These alloy shims are intended for hobby use and offer steadier thickness and firmer seating than thin stamped washers, which assists in fine tuning gear mesh, reducing lateral play, and improving alignment between spur and pinion in compact motorcycle gearbox layouts.

Installation procedure: clean the mating faces thoroughly, align the oval washer with the keyed or offset hole, then reassemble gearbox components ensuring the washer sits flush against the mating surface. After assembly verify mesh and axial play and make small adjustments as necessary.
