CNC machined alloy lower tray for rear gearbox

This CNC machined alloy lower tray is an aftermarket upgrade intended for Kyosho Mini-Z AWD MR-03 platforms, engineered to provide a stiffer and more accurate mounting surface for the rear gear box assembly. The tray improves support and positional stability compared with typical moulded plastic components.

Material and machining tolerances influence drivetrain noise, shaft alignment and long term wear. Manufactured from alloy with precision machining, the tray supplies a rigid base for the rear gearbox and ships with the mounting screws required for standard installation. The unit is supplied as a 1pcs set suitable for Mini-Z AWD arrangements.

Service guidance: inspect and measure existing mounting bosses prior to fitment, retain and reuse serviceable bearings and gearbox internals, and confirm gear mesh and shaft concentricity after installation. This component is designed for targeted gearbox reinforcement and tuning rather than wholesale chassis modification.

The tray is produced with precision CNC machining to tight tolerances to ensure consistent fit and repeatable mounting positions for the rear gearbox.
In most cases the tray installs using existing mounting points and the supplied screws; measure boss condition beforehand and address any worn faces to ensure correct alignment.
Verify shaft runout and gear mesh under light load, check for lateral play in gearbox bearings, and perform a short break-in followed by a recheck of fastener torque values.
