This KM123TS motor pinion kit supplies three steel #45 pinions in 11T, 12T and 13T counts for Kyosho Motorcycle platforms. The set is intended to provide straightforward, repeatable ratio changes and to replace worn motor pinions used in scale motorcycle drivetrains.
Steel #45 was selected to balance fatigue resistance and manufacturability for small motor pinions. Using the included tooth counts allows tuning of the effective final drive without altering the spur gear, enabling controlled changes to acceleration and top speed characteristics.
Workshop notes: remove the motor pinion retention, install the chosen pinion and establish correct gear mesh with the spur or gearbox input. Confirm smooth rotation under hand spin, perform a brief low-load break-in, then re-inspect mesh and retention after initial testing to ensure reliable operation.
