13T hardened 40Cr motor pinion for small electric drivetrains

This 13-tooth pinion is designed as a replacement for compatible electric RC drivetrains. It is made from 40Cr steel with a hardened black finish, specified as 13 teeth with a 0.5mm module and a round 2.2mm motor bore, and is located on the motor shaft using two 3x3 set screws.

In practical operation the pinion forms the interface between motor shaft and spur or primary gear, offering a compact, durable drive point. Confirm the motor accepts a 2.2mm bore pinion and that the driven gear uses a 0.5mm module before installation. Fit the gear with the drivetrain assembled, confirm concentricity, and tighten the set screws evenly to achieve the correct mesh.

For gearing adjustments and maintenance the pinion allows you to swap tooth counts while preserving tooth profile and wear patterns. The hardened 40Cr construction aims to improve wear resistance relative to softer materials, helping the part endure normal RC drivetrain stresses.
