High-precision 49-tooth main spur produced for the HPI Savage 21 platform, injection moulded in Delrin to provide repeatable tooth form and reduced friction. The component is intended as a drop-in replacement for compatible Savage 21 gearboxes.

As the primary spur, this gear establishes the pinion mesh, final drive engagement and overall drivetrain load profile. Delrin's dimensional stability and machining consistency help maintain uniform backlash and reduce variable wear compared with typical nylon alternatives.

Installation procedure follows standard Savage 21 practice: remove gearbox cover, verify bearing seating and shaft alignment, fit spur to shaft and set backlash to the recommended clearance before reassembly. Inspect and replace any worn pinion teeth or bearings to prevent accelerated wear of the new spur.
