This tie rod and drag link set replaces the factory plastic links on AXIAL 1/30 SCX30-based crawlers and is intended for scale RC use only. Constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum and precision-machined for tight tolerances, the parts reduce steering linkage flex and provide a rigid connection between the steering knuckles and servo output. The compact components are sized for 1/30 rock crawlers and built to withstand frequent trail use.
The kit focuses on steering stability and serviceability: threaded rod ends accept the supplied pivot balls for easy adjustment of toe and steering throw. Confirm alignment and servo centring after installation to maintain neutral steering geometry and predictable handling.
Verify pivot-ball sizes and screw dimensions supplied in the kit against the stock hardware before assembly. Ensure sufficient thread engagement to avoid stripping fine threads; torque to a firm feel without exceeding what the small-scale fasteners tolerate. After fitting, re-check steering endplay, servo centring and any link geometry adjustments used for tuning.
Regularly inspect threads and pivot joints for wear and play. Apply a light lubricant to pivot balls to reduce friction and noise, but avoid heavy compounds that attract contaminants. For persistent play, replace worn pivot balls or micro screws with standard hobby replacements and re-verify geometry.
