7075 alloy transmission inserts

This insert kit replaces worn gearbox seating points in PROMOTO-MX transmissions with machined 7075 alloy components, providing improved wear resistance versus standard plastic inserts. The parts serve as durable seating surfaces where shafts and bearings locate inside the transmission housing, helping maintain alignment under load.

Service is a workshop-level operation: separate the transmission housing, remove the old inserts and press the new 7075 alloy pieces into place. Minor removal of housing flash or a gentle press-fit may be necessary to ensure proper seating; use suitable tools and avoid over-torquing case fasteners. Installed inserts support consistent shaft alignment and reduce drivetrain slop for repeatable gear engagement.

These inserts are intended only for 1/4 scale PROMOTO-MX RC motorcycles and must not be used on full-size vehicles. Confirm compatibility with the model identifiers below before installation.
