This two-piece stainless steel skid plate kit is engineered to protect the underside of both front and rear gearboxes on Axial SCX6-based crawlers. The plates are profiled to locate close to the gearbox lower face and provide a robust barrier against sand, gravel and light impacts encountered in scale trail use.

Material selection focuses on corrosion resistance and abrasion performance. Stainless steel delivers a harder wear surface than typical polymer guards and limits ongoing abrasion from repeated debris contact while resisting surface corrosion in wet conditions.

Installation uses existing gearbox mounting points so the plates fasten without altering suspension geometry or drivetrain alignment. The intent is to protect external housings and reduce wear, not to replace internal gearbox maintenance or repairs.
