High-Load Front and Rear Drive Shafts

This front and rear main drive shaft assembly is intended for the GMADE R1 Rock Buggy and is designated GM237SAAM. The design pairs steel in the torque-loaded areas with aluminium interface sections to reduce rotating mass while maintaining required strength, supplied as a matched two-shaft set for front and rear installation.

Adjustable ranges allow alignment with axle and gearbox offsets: front 122mm-132mm, rear 105mm-115mm. These adjustment windows permit fine tuning of axle geometry without permanent modification to the shafts, useful when replacing stock parts or upgrading drivetrain components.

Ensure hub bore diameter and coupling method match your hubs and transmission outputs prior to installation. Standard installation requires axle carrier access and secure fastening with compatible hex hardware, and routine inspection of spline engagement and bearing fit is recommended after initial runs.

Use this matched set when replacing worn drive components or when optimising drivetrain stiffness and rotational mass on a GMADE R1; confirm length and coupling compatibility before final fitment.

Front shafts adjust between 122mm and 132mm, rear shafts adjust between 105mm and 115mm to match axle and gearbox spacing on R1 chassis variants.
Steel is used for wear and torque resistance while aluminium reduces rotating mass at interfaces, delivering a trade off between longevity and responsiveness appropriate for scale rock crawling.
Verify spline engagement, bearing fit and fastener torque after initial runs; recheck geometry and clearances following a short break-in period to ensure stable operation.
