Technical steering rod for Yeti platforms
This steering assembly rod is engineered for Axial Racing Yeti chassis and is listed as part GYT049, corresponding to the AX31122 reference. It is supplied as a single replacement rod intended for cases where the original steering linkage requires renewal or a stiffer composite option is sought.
Functionally the rod provides the mechanical connection between the servo output and the steering knuckles, governing alignment and motion of the front end. The graphite and aluminium construction balances torsional stiffness with minimal added mass to preserve responsive steering without altering steering geometry components.
Installation requires standard link replacement steps: remove the existing rod, verify length and ball pivot orientation against AX31122, migrate reusable hardware where applicable, and secure the new rod. Apply appropriate fastener torque, then cycle the steering through full travel to confirm free operation and clearance with suspension components and servo travel.
From a setup perspective, installing a graphite-and-aluminium rod reduces compliance across the linkage path, improving toe retention under load and sharpening steering feedback. This upgrade is appropriate for drivers seeking consistent steering behaviour for competitive tuning or demanding trail conditions. After fitment, recalibrate servo endpoints and toe settings to maintain intended handling characteristics.
Sold as 1 pcs, for RC-scale Axial Racing Yeti models only.
