This precision replacement rear main drive shaft is engineered for Axial Yeti drivetrains, using hardened steel connection points mated to a 6061-T aluminum shaft body to reduce rotating inertia while maintaining required torsional stiffness.
The assembly employs a retained steel wire ring to secure set screws and prevent fastener loosening under vibratory loads. The aluminum sleeve reduces mass at the shaft midspan while keeping stiffness where load transfer occurs. Adjustable length covers 147mm to 157mm to permit accurate driveline engagement and reproducible pinion/spur mesh adjustments.
For correct installation verify chassis clearance for the chosen length setting and torque the set screws to the recommended values for M4 size hardware. The unit ships with two 2.5XM4X11 stainless steel screws for secure mounting to the driveline junction.
A precision upgrade option for Yeti drivetrains where controlled rotating mass and reliable screw retention are priorities.
