Technical overview of the 31mm hex adapter

Precision machined 31mm aluminium hex adapter designed to increase wheel offset on Axial SCX10 and SCX10 II chassis, widening track and reducing the wheel-to-hub clearance. The 31mm hex thickness provides approximately 25mm of additional offset to optimise scale chassis balance and lateral stability on uneven terrain.

Installation is straightforward: the adapter locates on the existing wheel hex and is secured with the supplied stainless hardware. Compatible wheels must feature a 5mm threaded mounting hole to use the included fasteners. The component is intended as an aftermarket upgrade for scale rigs and is not suitable for road vehicles.

The kit includes stainless steel pins, hex socket screws, shims and 5mm metal washers for mounting and fine alignment to CV drives or drive shafts where applicable, allowing straightforward setup and minor tuning adjustments.

Compatibility and wheel requirements

Intended for Axial SCX10 and SCX10 II platforms. Wheels must accept a 5mm threaded mounting post to be compatible with the supplied hardware; verify internal thread diameter and depth.

Fitment and drive clearance guidance

No axle machining is normally required. After installation, check CV joint and drive shaft clearance and use the included shims and washers to eliminate binding and ensure correct mesh.
