Front steering knuckles overview

This alloy front steering knuckle set is an RC-scale replacement part designed for ARRMA 1/5 Kraton/Outcast 8S BLX platforms. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminium, the knuckles accept larger bearings than stock to increase contact surface and bearing preload options. Front hub nuts are aluminium 7075-T6 with an anti-loosening fastening detail using supplied 3x6 round head screws to keep the hub secure under heavy loads.

Installation notes: the knuckles provide three tie-rod mounting positions to tune steering roll and Ackermann characteristics without changing the steering linkage geometry. Bearings supplied are oversized relative to the original parts, so verify fit and orientation during assembly and check clearance with the brake and wheel hub components.

Tuning role: using stiffer alloy knuckles and larger inner/outer bearings can reduce deflection and improve steering consistency under high torque and rough terrain, making this a common upgrade for drivers seeking firmer front-end response.

Choose this knuckle set when you need a durable 6061-T6 upgrade with larger bearing support and adjustable tie-rod geometry for firmer steering on heavy-duty 1/5 ARRMA 8S rigs; confirm clearance and torque settings during fitment.

The product is listed as compatible with specific ARRMA 1/5 Kraton and Outcast 8S models shown in the Compatible Models block, verify your exact model code against that list before ordering.
The kit includes oversized outer bearings 12x26x8 mm and oversized inner bearings 17x28x7 mm as supplied items.
The knuckles replace the factory part numbers listed under Original Name / Part No: ARA330558+ARA340158+ARA330582.
The package includes cap and round head screws, M4 lock nuts, 7075-T6 aluminium hub nuts, and the oversized bearings needed to fit the knuckles as supplied.
Using different tie-rod holes alters the steering link angle and Ackermann behaviour, allowing you to tune turn-in and mid-corner steering without changing the linkage length.
