Precision clamp-type aluminium hub technical brief

This clamp-type wheel hub provides a CNC-friendly 6061 aluminium substitute for the OEM plastic hub used on selected TAMIYA 1/10 kits. The hub uses a slotted clamp that compresses when the cap screw is torqued, producing axial retention of the wheel and preventing the 2 x 10mm stainless steel shaft from disengaging during wheel service.

Manufactured from 6061 aluminium for improved stiffness at the mounting interface, the hub helps maintain wheel alignment under dynamic load and makes small setup changes more repeatable. The assembly includes Grade 12.9 cap head screws and 2 x 10 steel pins to match the original clamp retention geometry and hardware standard.
